The building owner has allowed us to stay at our Bay Street location through the end of the 2023-24 season. After The Wedding Singer concludes in May 2024, we will need to move to a new home and the building will be slated for demolition.
While we are faced with this unexpected turn of events, we believe in embracing change as an opportunity for growth. We are excited to embark on a new chapter in our journey and committed to finding a new, permanent home for WWCA.
Why is this happening?
Since 2003, we’ve leased the building and invested tens of thousands of dollars, along with countless hours, to transform the previously empty building into the remarkable theatre space it is today. Earlier this year, the building was sold to a new owner. Despite having more patrons and performers than ever, the new owner has made the decision to demolish the building instead of undertaking structural repairs.
Ways you can make a difference

Donations
We are at a crucial juncture where your financial support can make all the difference. Your generous contributions will help us secure a new home and continue our mission to bring outstanding theatre to our community. Every dollar counts.
Join our committees
We’ve established two committees and invite you to lend your expertise and time:
- The Grant Committee: We need individuals experienced in researching and applying for grants to help us secure additional funding sources.
- The Building Committee: If you know the area well and can identify potential new locations for our theatre, we would love to have you on board.
Committees will meet 1-2 times a month, and your involvement will be instrumental in shaping our future.

Thank you for your support!
As we embark on this new journey, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support you’ve provided throughout the years. Your dedication has been the lifeblood of our theatre, and we humbly request your continued commitment as we navigate this transition. Together, we will create an even more vibrant artistic community for Port Orchard and the surrounding areas.
