In February 2002, Western Washington Center for the Arts, formerly First Onstage Productions, began renovation of our former home, a 1918-historic building on the Port Orchard waterfront, creating a 74 seat venue for live theater. In 2024, we had to move just down the street after 23 years to start renovating our new home at 624 Bay Street in Port Orchard, and we are working to make this venue just as comfortable and welcoming as our previous one. Our mission is to present, preserve and promote the arts, especially the theater arts.
WWCA is governed by a volunteer board of directors, elected from the community by members of WWCA. Membership in WWCA is gained by purchase of a season subscription or becoming a volunteer and paying a $10 membership fee. Ask us about becoming a member of WWCA or about becoming a member of the board of directors. WWCA is totally dependent on volunteers and always interested in “spreading the wealth” achieved through volunteering your time and your talents.
Our Artistic Director is Rebecca Ewen. Our current board of directors are Cindy Fitch, Angela McDermott, Gary Fetterplace, Ian Bear, Abby Dickson, Scott Usher, Sarajane Rants, Emily Bear, Andy Tarr, and Plio Smith.
